The traditional Japanese art form of origami was the creative starting point for German designer Robin Scholtysik when he designed his new side table for blomus, called Oru. Based on the precise folding of delicate paper figures, the table consists of thin, powder-coated steel sheets that - when put together - create a three-dimensional shape, while cut-out joints reveal important small details such as opposing radii and delicately curved interfaces.

Oru's construction is as smart and simple as its design. The table can be assembled without tools, and its modest weight adds to its portability, making it fit for almost any corner of the modern home – be it as a contemporary bedside table or as a simple coffee table by the sofa.

The ORU side table is for indoor use only.

Care and Cleaning:
To ensure that you continue to enjoy our blomus item for as long as possible, we give you a few tips on care and cleaning. Do not under any circumstances use any caustic or aggressive cleaning agents and substances for the purpose of cleaning the given product. Nor are steel wool, abrasive sponges, hard brushes and cleaning pads suitable for cleaning and caring for blomus products. The surface finish of the product concerned may otherwise suffer permanent damage. To clean, wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry.
