Product description

BACK TO THE ROOTS - STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel has always been a popular material that can be used in a variety of ways. The shiny surface not only exudes a certain cleanliness, but its chemical properties are also particularly hygienic and robust. Therefore, this material is often used in kitchens or bathrooms. This year,
stainless steel is also reconquering the living area for itself.
But not only stainless steel in its pure form, but also in a completely new look delights us this year. Burned Metal is a new titanium coating of the stainless steel surface that
suits any living area. Titanium coating is the process of applying a thin layer of titanium to a surface. This coating method is used to provide durability, aesthetics, and protection to surfaces. Titanium coating takes advantage of the unique properties of titanium. The very dark brown captivates with its different nuances and looks either golden or shimmering black, depending on the light and the shape of the day. Which makes especially decorative items a very special eye- catcher.

A TASTE OF JAPAN WITH KAZUSHIGE
MIYAKE
The art of ikebana – the gentle and mindful
arranging of flowers in sculptural bouquets – is an integral part of Japanese culture, and is therefore the obvious source of inspiration for the new MIYABI vase, designed by Kazushige Miyake.
The vase is offered in two shapes, originating from the same visual concept – a lower version with an interlocking grid inside, which allows
for the creation of artistic arrangements to suit a variety of tastes and occasions, and a taller version with a slightly simpler construction, intended for displaying flowers in a set bouquet or even a single, specially grown branch.

About

Japanese designer Kazushige Miyake (b. 1973) graduated from the design department at Tama Art University in Tokyo, and began his career as a product designer in Great Britain before returning to Japan in 1999. In 2005 he established his own design studio. In his design practice, Miyake favours the simple and unembellished, and believes that every object has its own particular form. This form is not limited to its physical presence, but includes the object’s surrounding aura or atmosphere, and its effect on those who use it.

Kazushige Miyake has received a number of prestigious design awards, including the iF Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the Good Design Award. He is now a member of the review committees for both the Good Design Awards and the iF Design Awards.

Care Instruction:

To preserve the look and material of stainless steel products for as long as possible,
we recommend regular cleaning with a cloth moistened with lukewarm water.
Avoid using abrasive or chemical cleaning agents, as these can permanently
damage the surface. After cleaning, the surface should be thoroughly wiped dry
with a cloth to avoid water stains or streaking. Only use soft cloths to clean and
care for stainless steel. For stubborn stains, we recommend using a special stainless
steel cleaner.
