The traditional Japanese art form origami inspired the German designer Robin Scholtysik to develop the ORU line for Blomus. What began with the design of a filigree and sculptural side table has evolved into a complete and functional furniture line.
The ORU side table is the centrepiece of the line. Based on the principles of origami, the table is made of thin metal sheets that form an three-dimensional sculptural shape when put together. The small but important details such as the laser-cut joints and the gently curved interfaces give the table its characteristic aesthetic.
Two very different sizes can also be combined very well to form a larger surface. You can also choose between the two colours Black and Burned Metal as well as the Stainless Steel version in matt or polished finish.

To preserve the look and material of stainless steel products for as long as possible,
we recommend regular cleaning with a cloth moistened with lukewarm water.
Avoid using abrasive or chemical cleaning agents, as these can permanently
damage the surface. After cleaning, the surface should be thoroughly wiped dry
with a cloth to avoid water stains or streaking. Only use soft cloths to clean and
care for stainless steel. For stubborn stains, we recommend using a special stainless
steel cleaner.
